Acting CFO
Faraz is a UK qualified Accountant and Finance professional with over 20 years’ experience in Europe and the GCC gained in Audit, Accounting, and Corporate Finance.
He started his career in the UK as an Accounting and Auditing professional before moving to the GCC where he has structured and implemented complex and innovative infrastructure projects in KSA, Qatar, UAE and Oman. He was responsible for running and growing KPMG’s Infrastructure Advisory practice in Oman, including the development and training of its Omani staff. He has been with Marafiq since 2018 where he designed the economic structure of its new potable water business and ran its commercial operations during the critical early years. In his current role as Acting CFO he is responsible for ensuring Marafiq has robust governance in place to manage risks and deliver to financially sustainable growth.
Faraz is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Accountants in England and Wales, holds an MSc Finance from London Business School and a BSc Economics from the London School of Economics.
